To this day, I am amazed at how these Shark Hat photos turned out.
I shot them with my iPhone 3Gs back in 2011 when my then 3-year-old son was not interested in taking a bath like we had planned.
I could usually entice him into the bath tub with bath toys, but for some reason this time I couldn’t even keep him in the bathroom.Â
His rubber ducky and shark caught my eye and I created a crisis. “Milo! Hurry! Your shark is chomping down on your rubber ducky – HURRY, SAVE HIM!”
He ran to the bathroom, saw the scene and then giggled away.
I looked to amplify the crisis with more toys, but the lighting in the bathroom on that shark and ducky was incredible.
I took a few photos and to this day I can’t believe how the colors turned out. Even with a mediocre camera it just goes to show that the right lighting can make a great photograph.
Milo did eventually take that bath, btw. And he enjoys the story as much as I do.
